Alicia Bliss
E-RYT, Functional Aging Specialist, Certified Personal Trainer
Alicia Bliss started her education at the University of Georgia and continued her education at Trinity College of Natural Health, where she received her doctorate in Naturopathy in 2004. Following her passion for yoga, she received a 200 hr. yoga certification in 2006 and studied Yoga Therapy for seniors at Duke Integrative Medicine in 2013. She then found her true calling for working with active older adults and went on to receive certifications in Functional Aging and Personal Training. She is also an accomplished Herbalist and has developed a skincare line for a variety of skin issues and structural repair.
Alicia has over 18 years experience empowering people to implement simple, health-centered, daily habits that create impactful and lasting change in their lives. She has shared a successful practice with her sister in the Carolinas for 11 years and has led weekend retreats and workshops to teach hands-on approaches to wellness and self care. She loves helping her clients maintain high levels of physical and mental abilities, so they can continue to do the things they need to do, want to do, and dream of doing.

Alison started studying alternative therapies as a way to help herself, and from that experience was inspired to help others via health coaching and as an educator speaking to groups in our community about health and nutrition.
Alison Lively is a Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach and Natural Health Educator dedicated to bringing the most accurate, up-to-date, and helpful information to each individual and group that she works with. She has extensive knowledge in Iridology, Kinesiology, Herbology and Nutrition, and she also holds a doctorate in Naturopathy.
Alison’s own health issues with chronic, severe allergies prompted her journey to natural ways of healing. She exhausted her medical treatment options, maxing out on prescription nasal sprays and inhalers, decongestants, and antihistamines, so she turned to alternative therapies. The moment she began to focus on diet and natural supplements, she found relief for the first time and continued her education to study the science of Naturopathy: using means other than medicine to assist the body to heal itself.
Alison is still astounded by her own healing journey, and after helping thousands of people on their own health journey, not a day goes by that she does not feel grateful to have the knowledge and skills to help others learn self care.
Alison has over 18 years of experience working with every age group. She has authored and taught wellness courses for the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at Furman University and speaks throughout the community to educate and inspire people to take control of their health.

HEALTH COACHING
Health coaching is the fundamental service we provide at Creative Living Wellness. We believe coaching is a partnership, an alliance between you, the client, and us, the coach that allows for maximizing personal potential and developing a strategy for achieving health goals.
We believe that with a sound strategy and professional guidance, small steps can add up to big results over time. Studies show that in as little as two weeks, noticeable changes are possible when you give the body what it needs, undetermined by age or health status.
What to Expect During Coaching Sessions
Wellness coaching starts as a conversation. Our first goal is to get to know you, where you’ve been and where you see yourself in the future. The more we can know, the better we can help determine your specific needs and goals..
We’ll talk about your lifestyle. What types of food are you eating now? How often do you eat out per week? Do you exercise? What in your life takes priority over devoting time to your health? What changes would you like to see in your life and your health?
You’ll leave each session with a suggested gameplan, including suggested supplements, foods to focus on and/or avoid, and other creative ideas discussed during your appointment. Examples may include relaxation techniques, a book recommendation, or maybe just a written reminder that you are worth it and need to take time for yourself. (We all need that reminder sometimes, don’t we?)

Private Yoga & Personal Training

Practicing yoga can lead to improved balance, flexibility, range of motion and strength. Private yoga sessions give you individualized instruction to remove the “intimidation factor” and prepare you for group classes, or take you beyond where group classes can go.
Private Yoga Sessions
Alicia Bliss has been practicing yoga for over 20 years. She believes that the breath work, flexibility, and balance learned on the yoga mat can be an invaluable tool in everyday life.
What to Expect During Yoga
Private Yoga Sessions enable Alicia to focus exclusively on you and your needs – what you hope to get out of yoga practice, your general fitness level, your degree of flexibility, and any previous injuries or health conditions that need to be accommodated.
Unlike in a group yoga class where you may anonymously struggle with a position, Alicia can alter a pose on the fly so that you get the maximum benefit without injury. She can adjust a workout to your needs that day, which may change from one session to the next.
One-on-one yoga sessions are truly the best way to experience yoga, especially for beginners.

Why Yoga?
Improved Fitness – Strength AND Flexibility
Practicing yoga can lead to improved balance, flexibility, range of motion and strength. And this means you’re less likely to injure yourself in other physical endeavors or in your daily activities. Improved flexibility is one of the first and most obvious benefits of yoga. During your first class, you probably won’t be able to touch your toes. But if you stick with it, you’ll notice a gradual loosening, and eventually, everything you do gets easier: walking, sitting and standing. You’ll also probably notice that day-to-day aches and pains start to disappear.
Strong muscles do more than look good. They also protect us from conditions like arthritis and back pain, and help prevent falls in elderly people. It’s well documented that weight-bearing exercise strengthens bones and helps ward off osteoporosis. Many postures in yoga require that you lift your own weight. And when you build strength through yoga, you balance it with flexibility. If you just went to the gym and lifted weights, you might build strength at the expense of flexibility.
Stress Reduction
A number of studies have shown that yoga can help reduce stress and anxiety. It can also enhance your mood and overall sense of well-being. Yoga’s ability to lower levels of the stress hormone cortisol may help keep calcium in the bones.
Improved Circulation
Yoga gets your blood flowing. More specifically, the relaxation exercises you learn in yoga can help your circulation, especially in your hands and feet. Yoga also gets more oxygen to your cells, which function better as a result. Twisting poses are thought to wring out venous blood from internal organs and allow oxygenated blood to flow in once the twist is released.
Management of Chronic Conditions
Yoga can help reduce risk factors for chronic diseases, such as heart disease and high blood pressure. Yoga might also help alleviate chronic conditions, such as depression, pain, anxiety and insomnia.

Maybe you’ve put off attending your first yoga class because you’re concerned about re-injury. Working one-on-one with an instructor will give you the opportunity to learn valuable modifications and postures to avoid for when you are in class.

MINDFULNESS-BASED PERSONAL TRAINING
Alicia has curated a unique style of personal training to create an enjoyable workout experience. She blends her 20 years of yoga training experience, bodyweight exercises, and resistance band training to cater each session to the mind/body needs and goals of her clients. Remember, the mind and body are connected - not separate and attending to your mental health and well-being holds just as much value as your physical health. Have you been intimidated to try personal training because you think it will be too hard or you don’t like the “gym” atmosphere? That’s the beauty of Mindfulness-Based personal training as it meets you where you are. It is important for your body and mind to be challenged because you are capable of so much more than you know, and the accountability that comes from a personal trainer is essential to achieving your true potential. A private Mindfulness-Based training session with Alicia combines the fundamentals of yoga - breathwork and stretching - which will help the body recover quickly without “not being able to walk” the next day, with body weight and resistance band training - which is proven to be safer on your joints and structural system. Instructions for Virtual Sessions
Please choose your service(s) below and follow the instructions to get the most out of your virtual session.
- Go to Zoom’s website at Zoom.us.
- Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click “Download” in the web page’s footer.
- On the Download Center page, click “Download” under the “Zoom Client for Meetings” section.
- The Zoom app will then begin downloading.
- It’s important for me to see your whole body, choose a space with a strong wifi, good lighting and enough room to move around.
- I’ve found it best to have your computer set up on a small table or chair angled to either side, at top of your mat.
- When you book your appointment , you receive a link that connects you to the date-and-time-specific conference page.
- Please plan to log in 5-10 minutes prior.
- Please click here to fill out the new client intake forms for your selected service. Please make sure to fill this out at least 24-hours prior to your scheduled appointment.
- You will receive a zoom link prior to your appointment. Please check your email inbox.
- If you would like us to analyze your iris and/or tongue, please take a close-up picture with your phone and email it to us. - Organize your thoughts. Make a list of what you would like to see accomplished during your session.


- Please consider this YOUR time, so minimize any distractions. Choose a place with good lighting and be ready for us to call you.
- We will want to see your face, tongue, and nails so make sure they are clean.
- It is ideal to have current supplements with you if you have questions regarding supplementation.
- We will email you a post-visit summary so you will have highlights and directions to keep in your inbox or print out.
- Supplemental recommendations will be emailed to you from our online dispensary, Wellevate, where you can easily order and get them shipped to your home.

I purchased a jar of calendula salve with lavender to use on my hands. I have chronic dry skin with recurring eczema and this salve was wonderful! It moistened my skin and kept it moist!
I purchased some arnica salve to put on my achy stiff joints. I have osteoarthritis in my feet and hands and received relief. I rub it in thoroughly at night and in the morning. Any time I have any other aches or soreness this is the salve I use. I love it and so grateful for a natural product.
I purchased some comfrey salve and use it several different ways. With my chronic dry skin there are areas on my legs and arms I rub it in several times a week and it softens and heals my skin. Lately I have been applying it on several spider veins and have notice a change in the color and intensity of the veins. I love how my skin feels and looks after using it. I have also used this salve for my arthritis and achy joints and I achieve relief as well.

Three years ago, my life changed drastically. After many doctors visits, limitless medications, upper endoscopies, blood work, amenorrhea, stomach pain so bad I could not sleep, I finally decided it was time to choose another route. The doctors diagnosed me with Gastro paresis which is well known as delayed stomach emptying linked to a stomach virus that I had in April 2010. This illness caused so many other issues to occur including acid reflux, doctors believing it was all in my head and even telling me I could possibly be pregnant.
