About Creative Living Wellness
No, your eyes aren’t playing tricks on you. Twins Alicia Bliss Hall and Alison Lively are the energy behind Creative Living Wellness. They’ve taken different paths to arrive at the same place, and CLW is stronger for it.
Alicia Bliss
E-RYT, Yoga Coach
Herbalist and Yogi with a doctorate in Naturopathy, Alicia offers health coaching and private yoga sessions. She’s also the mad genius herbalist behind our handcrafted skin care.
Alicia Bliss started her education at the University of Georgia and continued her education at Trinity College of Natural Health, where she received her doctorate in Naturopathy. Following her passion for yoga, she received a 300 hr. yoga certification in 2006 and studied Yoga Therapy for seniors at Duke Integrative Medicine.
Alicia is an expert in Nutrition, Iridology, Kinesiology, Herbology and Yoga and she applies these tools to assess each individual’s health concerns. She’s held a successful practice in the Carolinas for 11 years and has led weekend retreats and workshops to teach hands-on approaches to wellness and self care. She is an accomplished Herbalist and has developed a skincare line for a variety of skin issues and structural repair. Because of her extensive yoga training and handcrafted skincare line, she specializes in treatments for anxiety, joint pain, blood pressure, sleep and stress.

Alison Lively
Certified Health Coach
Alison started studying alternative therapies as a way to help herself, and from that experience was inspired to help others via health coaching and as an educator speaking to groups in our community about health and nutrition.
Alison Lively is a Nutritional Counselor and Natural Health Educator dedicated to bringing the most accurate, up-to-date, and helpful information to each individual and group that she works with. She has extensive knowledge in Iridology, Kinesiology, Herbology and Nutrition, and she also holds a doctorate in Naturopathy.
Alison’s own health issues with chronic, severe allergies prompted her journey to natural ways of healing. She exhausted her medical treatment options, maxing out on prescription nasal sprays and inhalers, decongestants, and antihistamines, so she turned to alternative therapies.
The moment she began to focus on diet and natural supplements, she found relief for the first time and continued her education to study the science of Naturopathy: using means other than medicine to assist the body to heal itself.
Alison is still astounded by her own healing journey, and after helping thousands of people on their own health journey, not a day goes by that she does not feel grateful to have the knowledge and skills to help others learn self care.
Alison has over 12 years of experience working with every age group. She has authored and taught wellness courses for the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at Furman University and speaks throughout the community to educate and inspire people to take control of their health.
You deserve to be guided on your individual health journey.
Nutritional & natural health information is very easy to gather. There are thousands of experts that claim to have the end-all-be-all on how to balance your body but the only truth is that every one is different and has different nutritional and health needs.
You deserve to be guided on your individual health journey. In the long run you will save time, energy, money if you utilize the service of a natural health professional.
Health
Coaching

Our coaches help you navigate beyond current trends and restrictive diets. With professional guidance and personal support, you can refine your health and empower yourself towards wellness.
HEALTH COACHING
Health coaching is the fundamental service we provide at Creative Living Wellness. We believe coaching is a partnership, an alliance between you, the client, and us, the coach that allows for maximizing personal potential and developing a strategy for achieving health goals.
We believe that with a sound strategy and professional guidance, small steps can add up to big results over time. Studies show that in as little as two weeks, noticeable changes are possible when you give the body what it needs, undetermined by age or health status.
What to Expect During Coaching Sessions
Wellness coaching starts as a conversation. Our first goal is to get to know you, where you’ve been and where you see yourself in the future. The more we can know, the better we can help determine your specific needs and goals..
We’ll talk about your lifestyle. What types of food are you eating now? How often do you eat out per week? Do you exercise? What in your life takes priority over devoting time to your health? What changes would you like to see in your life and your health?
You’ll leave each session with a suggested gameplan, including suggested supplements, foods to focus on and/or avoid, and other creative ideas discussed during your appointment. Examples may include relaxation techniques, a book recommendation, or maybe just a written reminder that you are worth it and need to take time for yourself. (We all need that reminder sometimes, don’t we?)
Prices
- Initial Consult $125 for 1.5 hour session
- Follow up Session $80 for 45 minute session

Private Yoga
Sessions

Practicing yoga can lead to improved balance, flexibility, range of motion and strength. Private yoga sessions give you individualized instruction to remove the “intimidation factor” and prepare you for group classes, or take you beyond where group classes can go.
Private Yoga Sessions
Alicia Bliss has been practicing yoga for 20 years as a tool to combat her anxiety and nervous tension. It worked, and inspired her journey for healing mind, body, and spirit.
Alicia has been a certified yoga trainer for 14 years and, in 2015, received specialized training in Therapeutic Yoga for Seniors from Duke Integrative Medicine. Alicia currently works with older adults over 60 in her private yoga practice. She believes that the breath work, flexibility, and balance learned on the yoga mat can be an invaluable tool in everyday life.
What to Expect During Yoga
Private Yoga Sessions enable Alicia to focus exclusively on you and your needs – what you hope to get out of yoga practice, your general fitness level, your degree of flexibility, and any previous injuries or health conditions that need to be accommodated.
Unlike in a group yoga class where you may anonymously struggle with a position, Alicia can alter a pose on the fly so that you get the maximum benefit without injury. She can adjust a workout to your needs that day, which may change from one session to the next.
One-on-one yoga sessions are truly the best way to experience yoga, especially for beginners.
“One element that was missing in my exercise routine was flexibility. With little expectation, I tried a session with Alicia…and I became hooked. To get started in, and to appreciate yoga, I am convinced that one-on-one sessions are vital. My flexibility, balance and core strength have improved dramatically, and Alicia makes certain that the mind, body and spirit aspects are addressed as well. She is a caring, nurturing teacher and my life is better because of the care she continues to provide.” –Randy T.

Why Yoga?
Improved Fitness – Strength AND Flexibility
Practicing yoga can lead to improved balance, flexibility, range of motion and strength. And this means you’re less likely to injure yourself in other physical endeavors or in your daily activities. Improved flexibility is one of the first and most obvious benefits of yoga. During your first class, you probably won’t be able to touch your toes. But if you stick with it, you’ll notice a gradual loosening, and eventually, everything you do gets easier: walking, sitting and standing. You’ll also probably notice that day-to-day aches and pains start to disappear.
Strong muscles do more than look good. They also protect us from conditions like arthritis and back pain, and help prevent falls in elderly people. It’s well documented that weight-bearing exercise strengthens bones and helps ward off osteoporosis. Many postures in yoga require that you lift your own weight. And when you build strength through yoga, you balance it with flexibility. If you just went to the gym and lifted weights, you might build strength at the expense of flexibility.
Stress Reduction
A number of studies have shown that yoga can help reduce stress and anxiety. It can also enhance your mood and overall sense of well-being. Yoga’s ability to lower levels of the stress hormone cortisol may help keep calcium in the bones.
Improved Circulation
Yoga gets your blood flowing. More specifically, the relaxation exercises you learn in yoga can help your circulation, especially in your hands and feet. Yoga also gets more oxygen to your cells, which function better as a result. Twisting poses are thought to wring out venous blood from internal organs and allow oxygenated blood to flow in once the twist is released.
Management of Chronic Conditions
Yoga can help reduce risk factors for chronic diseases, such as heart disease and high blood pressure. Yoga might also help alleviate chronic conditions, such as depression, pain, anxiety and insomnia.
Why Private Yoga Sessions?
It’s Less Intimidating
A private session reduces or eliminates any level of intimidation associated with attending a group class for the first time. In one or two private sessions, you can prepare for what to expect in class and learn enough basics to make you feel comfortable.
Individualized Instruction
We can design a practice to accommodate any injuries, health concerns, or other limitations you may have. Maybe you’ve put off attending your first yoga class because you’re concerned about re-injury. Working one-on-one with an instructor will give you the opportunity to learn valuable modifications and postures to avoid for when you are in class.
Tailored to Your Intentions
Do you have specific goals you are trying to achieve? If you are coming to yoga for a specific reason, whether physical, spiritual, mental, or emotional, we can offer some guidance on how to achieve those goals.
Class Recommendations
After working closely with you in one or more private lessons, we’ll be able to recommend appropriate group classes for you based on feedback during your private sessions.

What do our clients say?

Pat D.
When I first started seeing Alison Lively over five years ago at Creative Living Wellness, I was not ill but wanted to learn what I could do to keep it that way. I have always approached my heath with a hands-on attitude. The first meeting with Alison was fascinating. Here was a person willing to explain and guide me on what works best for me. Alison and Alicia helped me create a personal plan that was right for MY body! Creative Living Wellness says it all. You create your wellness by learning what to eat. You improve your living by involving all the parts – mind, body and spirit.
All the tools to live a happy health life are available. There’s seasonal and specific food plans, supplements to aide areas in the body that need a little help, informative handouts, meditations for calming the mind, recipes, and book suggestions to further knowledge. Alison and Alicia are expert healers and are always interested in sharing information and ideas to help you become your healthiest self.
I see my regular doctor for an annual checkup and blood work. He laughs and says “Keep doing what you are doing. See you next year.”
Thank you Alison and Alicia for all that you do.

In this day of increased awareness of personal wellbeing, Alison has made a huge difference in my life. Although initially a bit skeptical, due to my engineering vocation, I quickly learned that Alison’s realistic approach to lifestyle changes was a good fit for me. I stayed with her recommendations and have never felt better. In combination with Alicia’s remarkable gift for mindful, personally crafted yoga, the result has been a phenomenal improvement in wellbeing: in mind, body and spirit. What an INCREDIBLE gift!

I have enjoyed practicing yoga under Alicia’s patient guidance for over four years and have greatly improved my flexibility. She has helped me control my back pain and other muscular discomforts. At age 74, I am more active and healthier due to her professional, caring work.

I purchased a jar of calendula salve with lavender to use on my hands. I have chronic dry skin with recurring eczema and this salve was wonderful! It moistened my skin and kept it moist!
I purchased some arnica salve to put on my achy stiff joints. I have osteoarthritis in my feet and hands and received relief. I rub it in thoroughly at night and in the morning. Any time I have any other aches or soreness this is the salve I use. I love it and so grateful for a natural product.
I purchased some comfrey salve and use it several different ways. With my chronic dry skin there are areas on my legs and arms I rub it in several times a week and it softens and heals my skin. Lately I have been applying it on several spider veins and have notice a change in the color and intensity of the veins. I love how my skin feels and looks after using it. I have also used this salve for my arthritis and achy joints and I achieve relief as well.
I have learned how to trade off using these salves. I like that these salves are easily absorbed and can be used several times a day. I encourage everyone to try these natural products.

Three years ago, my life changed drastically. After many doctors visits, limitless medications, upper endoscopies, blood work, amenorrhea, stomach pain so bad I could not sleep, I finally decided it was time to choose another route. The doctors diagnosed me with Gastro paresis which is well known as delayed stomach emptying linked to a stomach virus that I had in April 2010. This illness caused so many other issues to occur including acid reflux, doctors believing it was all in my head and even telling me I could possibly be pregnant. I lost a total of 38 pounds and became so sickly.
In 2012, I set up an appointment with Alison Lively. My life has not been the same since then because of prayers and this special lady, and now my friend! I have learned so much about my body, and the supplements she has introduced me to over the past few years have changed my quality of life. I was at my lowest weight of 107 pounds, and after a year I now weigh 123. I have learned to listen to my body, and I know now what I can and cannot handle. I have also started my menstrual cycle again after 2 years without any sign of a period.
I am so blessed and thankful that God has placed Alison in my life. I literally do not know where I would be without her!
Adawn S.
I was referred to Alison six years ago by one of her past clients. I just felt unhealthy. Not only was Alison the only one to convince me that I did not need to go to Burger King and order another Cherry and Cola ICEE, she led us in the right direction with our health and we were able to quickly conceive our second child.
I have referred many friends and family to Alison and she has been able to help so many of them.
